I’ve always enjoyed writing - in fact, English was pretty much the only exam that I passed with flying colours. However it took ten years for me to realise that I might actually be able to make a living from doing what I loved.

So for the next two decades I worked as a journalist, (articles below), interviewing celebrities from George Clooney to Justin Timberlake and Ozzy Osbourne to Dame Maggie Smith.

But it wasn’t until 2017, that I decided to try my hand at writing fiction – not with the intention of writing a book that would get published, but just to prove to myself that I had the dedication and willpower needed. Yet once I started, I couldn’t stop!

The result was my debut The Other Woman, which was a 2018 New York Times Bestseller and a Reese Witherspoon Pick. It also sold in fourteen other languages, and to say I’m still reeling from the shock of it all, is something of an understatement!

So afraid was I that it was just a fluke, I’ve had to work even harder to prove that it wasn’t. So followed four more titles, The First Mistake, The Half Sister, The Guilt Trip and The Blame Game. And incredibly my sixth novel, The Trade Off is about to be published in March 2024.

I’d like to say it gets easier, but writing a sixth book is just as hard as writing my first, perhaps even harder, as original ideas are not easy to come by. But I LOVE what I do and I’m so glad that I gave it a go - otherwise I’d still be sitting here wondering what might happen if I did!

Best wishes,

CELEBRITY INTERVIEWS

It’s always fascinating to talk to people in the public eye, as whether we are aware of it or not, we all make assumptions about someone, just from seeing them on TV or watching them perform at a concert; we can’t help it, it’s human nature.

So my favourite part of the job is finding out who they really are; beyond the camera, the microphone, the stage...here are some of my interviews where celebrities reveal what really makes them tick; their dreams, aspirations, philosophies or just how bloody hard life sometimes is...even for them.
